Yes, Cats Can Like Water

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

Moving water that is! For taking a quick sip, cats highly prefer moving water over still water. Turn on a faucet when your cat is around and they will go straight to it for a drink of water.

However, leaving a faucet on and having your cat jump on the kitchen counter isn't always ideal. Owning a water fountain for your cat means they can take a drink as often as they like (which will be much more frequently) and you won't have to worry about any 'extra' cleaning of your kitchen counters. Any time there is less kitchen cleaning , I'm on board.

Your Cat Will Drink More Water

We all know water is essential for life, including your Cat's life. A 10 lb cat should drink approximately a half of a bottle of water every day. That's more than an entire cat sized food dish every day! I don't know about you, but before I started using a cat fountain, my cat never finished off her water bowl every day. Cat drinking fountains attract your cat to water and in turn, they drink more water which greatly improves their overall wellness. A healthy cat equals a happy life!
